The slab is down and core filling almost complete

Progress Update Six We're into week seven of our brand spankin' new 220+m2 build and this week was an incredibly important milestone for us and builder Luke. Without a hitch, the concrete slab was given the tick of approval by our engineers and our trades have kept on progressing with core filling the retaining walls and cleaning up the site with a small bobcat.

Progress Update Six

We’re into week seven of our brand spankin’ new 220+m2 build and this week was an incredibly important milestone for us and builder Luke. Without a hitch, the concrete slab was given the tick of approval by our engineers and our trades have kept on progressing with core filling the retaining walls and cleaning up the site with a small bobcat.

Unfortunately when we opened up the site on Thursday monrning we were struck with a blow – a landslide had occured near the pool and pushed a signifcant amount of soil into one retaining wall, causing it to crack and move. Fortunatley our team swiftly transitioned into caretaker mode and we’re back on track with a replacement wall which is being core filled today.

Lisa and Dave also enjoyed their first ‘walk’ around the concrete slab, envisaging each room and furniture placement. A real treat!

Wishing you a happy Friday and safe weekend. Finger’s (and toes) crossed this rain holds off and dispurses out west instead.
